As some of you may be aware, the metalwork, brick pillars and stone step at the war memorial were damaged some months ago. The Parish Council has been gathering quotes for the repairs and the insurer gave the go-ahead at the end of October.
We did not want the war memorial to be in the middle of repairs during Remembrance, so the start was delayed but is now due to begin in the next few days.
The first stage will be to remove the metalwork to be repaired at the forge.
It is expected repairs will be finished by mid-January at the latest. We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time.
