M1 junction 10 northbound entry slip – technology maintenance works
I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out maintenance work on our roadside equipment used to manage the network on the M1 junction 10 northbound entry slip. This work is needed to maintain and repair the equipment we use to monitor our network and manage traffic flows.
We plan to complete this work overnight on Wednesday 20 May 2026. We will work between 10pm and 5am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the M1 junction 10 northbound entry slip and divert traffic as follows:
- Drivers wishing to join the M1 northbound at junction 10 will be directed to travel southbound on the M1
- Exit at junction 9 and take the second exit at the first roundabout to join the A5183
- Travel along the A5183 and at the roundabout take the first exit to rejoin the M1 northbound to continue your journey
Please note emergency vehicles will not have access through the works
