Sustainable Streets Together – Free for Dacorum Residents
Residents across Dacorum are invited to join Sustainable Streets Together ‘Dacorum’, a free, community‑led programme that helps community groups and neighbours’ team up to cut bills, reduce waste and feel more connected.
Delivered by Grand Union Community Energy (GUCE), in partnership with Dacorum Borough Council, the programme brings together neighbours and community groups for relaxed, practical sessions on:
- Improving home energy efficiency
- Reducing food and household waste
- Travelling more sustainably
- Supporting local nature and biodiversity
Groups meet every 2–3 weeks in homes or community spaces, supported by a trained GUCE facilitator and a simple step‑by‑step handbook.
Participants also receive free thermal home images, free energy‑saving measures, and ongoing support to help keep bills down.
The programme can also be adapted for workplaces, charities and community organisations wanting to lower energy use and costs.
