I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out technology work on the M1 eastern side of the roundabout at junction 10. Once complete, this will ensure the M1 continues to remain in a safe.
We plan to complete this work overnight on Thursday 18 September 2025. We will work between 10pm and 5am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the M1 eastern side of the roundabout on the M1 and divert traffic as follows:
Traffic will be diverted via the A1081 eastbound new airport way, take the first exit slip off the A1081 down to London Road north Roundabout. Take the first exit onto London Road. At the next roundabout take the first exit to re-join the A1081 westbound back to M1 junction 10.
