M1 junction 10 (Pepperstock Junction) northbound entry slip – drainage works
I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out drainage work on the M1 junction 10 northbound entry slip. We need to carry out this work to help keep the road draining effectively and reduce the risk of standing water on the network.
We plan to complete this work over three nights starting on Tuesday 29 September 2026. We will work overnight between 10pm and 5am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the M1 junction 10 northbound entry slip road and divert traffic as follows:
- Drivers wishing to join the M1 northbound at junction 10 will be directed to travel southbound on the M1
- Exit at junction 9 and take the second exit at the first roundabout to join the A5183
- Travel along the A5183 and at the roundabout take the first exit to rejoin the M1 northbound to continue your journey
Please note emergency vehicles will have access through the works with caution.
