We plan to carry out resurfacing on the M1 southbound at junction 11 to 10. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a safer, smoother and better-defined road surface.
We plan to complete this work over three nights starting on Tuesday 2 September 2025. We’ll be working between 10pm and 5am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the M1 southbound at junction 11
Traffic will be diverted as follows:
- Drivers heading southbound should exit the M1 at junction 11 on to the A505 roundabout and take the third exit to towards Dunstable
- Continue westbound along Luton Road and Church Street until arriving at Dunstable High Street
- Drivers should turn left from Church Street on to Dunstable High Street and continue southbound towards the A5183
- Drivers will arrive at junction 9 and can continue the journey southbound on the M1
