I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out drainage work on the A1081 westbound entry slip road at London Road. Once complete, drivers will benefit from the A1081 remaining in a safe and serviceable condition.
We plan to complete this work over five nights between Monday 13 October and Saturday 18 October 2025. We will work between 9pm and 6am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close lane one leading to the A1081 westbound entry slip road at London Road, and divert traffic as detailed below:
- Westbound traffic will be diverted via the A1081 London Road North Roundabout and turn right take the exit for Capability Green Roundabout
- At Capability Green Roundabout turn right, continue to the next roundabout and turn right to rejoin the A1081 where the diversion ends
