Important roadworks information
M1 southbound between junction 10 Pepperstock Interchange and entry slip road – loop renewals
I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out loop renewal work on the M1 southbound between junction 10 Pepperstock Interchange and entry slip road. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a safer, smoother and better-defined road surface.
We plan to complete this work overnight on Tuesday 21 April 2026. We will work between 10pm and 5am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the M1 junction 10 Pepperstock Interchange east and south quadrant and the west and northern quadrant will need inner ring closure and divert traffic as follows:
Traffic wanting to travel northbound at junction 10 will be diverted southbound to junction 9 and return back to junction 10.
