M1 southbound junction 10 exit slip – essential resurfacing
I’m writing to tell you that we plan to carry out resurfacing on the M1 southbound junction 10 exit slip. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a safer, smoother and better-defined road surface.
We plan to complete this work over two nights starting on Thursday 25 September 2025. We’ll be working between 10pm and 5am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the M1 southbound junction 10 exit slip, traffic will be diverted as follows:
- Drivers travelling southbound on the M1 intending to exit at junction 10 should continue southbound on the M1 towards junction 9
- Exit at junction 9 and take the second exit at the first roundabout to join the A5183
- Travel along the A5183 and at the roundabout take the first exit to rejoin the M1 northbound
- Continue northbound to junction 10 to complete your journey.
