Thinking of buying tickets for the Euros, Olympics, Wimbledon or a summer concert? More than 80 people in Hertfordshire have already been caught out by ticket scammers this year.
Across the UK last year more than 8,700 people reported they had been a victim ticket fraud, with a total of £6.7 million lost. This works out to an average loss of £772 per victim.
Make sure you buy from reputable sources and be wary of social media sites offering you a bargain – the ticket you’re trying to purchase either may not be real or the seller may not send it to you.
