Notification of Technology and carriageway repairs, as part of the M1 junctions 10 to 13 scheme
I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out essential maintenance on the M1 between junction 10 (Luton South) and junction 13 (Milton Keynes South).
Our work will involve repairing the technology on the overhead gantries on the southbound carriageway. During this closure we’ll also be repairing potholes in the carriageway and installing temporary metal barrier to protect the workforce. This will ensure the M1 remains in a safe and serviceable condition.
To carry out this work safely, we’ll need to close the M1 overnight between junctions 14 and 11a on Thursday 8 February and will be working between 10pm and 5am, weather permitting.
Traffic will be diverted via the A509 to the A4146, follow the A421 to Redmoor roundabout, A5 south to the A4146 Leighton Buzzard Bypass, A505, A5-M1 link road before re-joining the M1 at junction 11a.
